when east met west

I like when two words are pushed together. Wintergreen. Ghostwriter. They just look cooler.  The same can be said for NewVillager.  Even better than the combo of “new” and “villager,” NewVillager melds East Coast to the West. Ross Simoni and Ben Bromley hail from San Francisco and Brooklyn respectively. This is (part of) their story:

Ben and Ross meet in Austin, Texas at SXSW and finish the first version of “Rich Doors” in a vegan café. Moby sits at a table on the other side of the café. They leave behind a seed paste in the hill above the Mohawk, but forget to fertilize it. They eat some good Mexican food.

More entertaining bits along with interesting recipes can be found on their blog.  You only have to take one listen to “Rich Doors” though to know this band is going to gain popularity fast.
