Her talent must be hereditary. Her father, a composer, and her mother, a sculptor and president of Staten Island Museum, introduced Michaelson to the arts at an early age. She started playing piano when she was only five years old. She later attended Binghamton University and earned a degree in theatre. Then she decided to take on a musical career.
This NYC indie-pop singer-songwriter would not be quite as popular had her music not been featured in several television hits. Six of her songs snuck into the halls of Seattle Grace in Grey’s Anatomy and three appeared in One Tree Hill.
Her music is warm and sunny. It’s like being enveloped in a blanket on a winter’s day or enjoying a cool glass of apple juice.
